Mental Health MOTs

Just like you’d have a routine check-up with your dentist or take your car for a service, a Mental Health MOT is a free 30 minute one-to-one wellbeing check-in.
These informal check-ins are all about helping you understand what works for your mental wellbeing, help you feel more resilient and overall live well. They’re a great first step to taking charge of your mental wellbeing before things build up or feel too much.
Most people who book aren’t in crisis – they simply notice something feels a bit off, want space to talk something through, or aren’t sure where to start.
An MOT isn’t counselling or an assessment – just structured time with a member of our team to help you navigate your own wellbeing.
A Mental Health MOT can help if you:
- feel a bit overwhelmed by everyday life
- notice your mood, energy or motivation has dipped
- are going round in circles with something
- want space to reflect before things get harder
- aren’t sure what support might help (if any)
- simply want to check in on your wellbeing
You don’t need to be struggling – and you don’t need to have the right words.
These sessions are designed to be used.
Still not sure?
Mental Health MOTs are a place to talk things through even when something feels small, or hard to name. If you’re feeling unsure, that’s completely normal and it’s still okay to book. We’re here to work out together what might help.
If you’re currently feeling in distress or need more specific support:
If you’re in crisis, feeling unsafe, or experiencing high levels of distress, a a Mental Health MOT may not be the right support on its own.

Is a Mental Health MOT right for me?
Mental Health MOTs are for people experiencing low to moderate stress, low mood, motivation or everyday life pressures – or who simply want some space to check in on their wellbeing.
They’re designed as an early-intervention wellbeing check, not a crisis service.
